About Bard
Bard represents a layer of abstraction providing access to data and metadata managed by Tupelo as well as GIS functionality and visualization tools developed for the MAEviz project (NCSA-GIS). Bard is intended to be the base for building applications that require data/metadata, GIS functionality, and visualization capabilities; a great example is the MAEviz project that was recently completed for the Mid America Earthquake (MAE) Center.
