Sponsored Programs Administration Policy Update 2023: NCSA Submission Pilot Program

Effective immediately (2/19/2023), if a proposal arrives to SPA on the same day it is due to the sponsor (that means less than 8 business hours before a deadline), the team will not review it. 

SPA now requests all documents by 8 a.m. four days prior to the sponsor deadline; exception: only a draft of the proposal is required at that time. References and final documents are required at least eight business hours prior to the sponsor’s deadline.

A proposal will be considered late when it is submitted after the deadline above. SPA will make reasonable efforts to review late proposals but cannot ensure the same level of proposal review service.

IMPORTANT FUNDER UPDATES

NSF Requirements  – **REVISED January 2023** Current guidance to Biographical Sketch and Current & Pending documents.

New NIH Requirements are EFFECTIVE **January 25, 2022** – significant changes to the Biographical Sketch and Other Support documents will be in place, stated in NOT-OD-21-073 and required January 25, 2022 per NOT-OD-21-110.
