Thursday, Jan 11th, 0000-0400 CST | Connectivity to Internet2 and backup LHCONE peerings - ICCP and MWT2 respectively | Engineers from Internet2 are performing maintenance that will affect certain BGP peerings that exist on the device that is ICCP/MWT2's upstream router, CARNE. Specifically, both the 100G Internet2 peering and the Internet2 LHCONE peering on CARNE may be disrupted during this timeframe. MWT2 currently gets to LHCONE through CARNE's ESnet peering, which will be fully functional. They will also be able to get to UChicago through CARNE's OmniPoP 100G peering. As for ICCP, traffic to/from Internet2 based routes will reroute through the ICCN. These paths are comprised of 10G links, and as such this may cause slower transfer speeds for transfers to/from Internet2 based routes for ICCP users during the timeframe of the maintenance. | No degradation of service for MWT2, potentially slower transfers for ICCP | none |
Friday, Jan 12th, 0000-06000 0600 CST | Internet2 | Engineers from Internet2 will be migrating our BGP peering with I2's Commercial Peering Service (CPS) to a new location. Small disruptions may occur with the maintenance for the CPS service, but no user traffic disruptions should occur. | None, Alternatives routes are present. | none |
