Identity and Access Management at NCSA

Federated Identities

NCSA operates a SAML identity provider registered in the InCommon Federation and available globally via eduGAIN. Choose the "National Center for Supercomputing Applications" identity provider to sign in to sites like https://wiki.shibboleth.net/ with your NCSA identity. To sign up for an NCSA identity, visit https://go.ncsa.illinois.edu/idp-guest.

NCSA also operates the CILogon service that provides an OpenID Connect compliant interface to federated identities. CILogon enables you to log on at sites like https://www.globus.org/ using your campus identity. For information on connecting your application with CILogon, visit http://www.cilogon.org/oidc.

X.509 Certificates

To obtain an IGTF-compliant user certificate, visit https://cilogon.org/.
