A generalized component for handling actions which should be taken on the basis of remote events.

From the design, it should be clear that the triggering events and triggered actions are fully extensible.
Prototype
Currently a prototype exists which uses RSS feeds to trigger submissions to the Workflow Broker on the basis of mesoscale activity for severe storms. The blue points in the map below represent the latitude and longitude for the input to WRF workflows triggered through our agent as part of the LEAD 2007 Spring Forecast experiment.
