Task 1: Determine and configure initial use cases by identifying the following:
- the initial HPC resources at NCSA and KISTI
- the initial parallel codes (CFD, etc)
- Grant access to NCSA and KISTI HPC resources to developers
- Gather test data (to determine success or failure of a run for each code
Task 2: Test existing systems with codes identified in Task 1
- run each code standalone locally on NCSA systems
- run each code standalone remotely to KISTI systems
- create workflow scripts that wrap and execute each code
- PWE - broker level workflow
- Ogrescript - host side workflow
Task 3: Design the architecture of an integrated toolkit platform based on Bard and Siege
- Design the architecture to support both web-based and stand-alone applications with the initial implementation being stand-alone
Task 4: Develop a prototype stand-alone application using the architecture designed in Task 3
- Initial application should be able to configure, launch and monitor workflows for each code from Task 2
Task 5: Install and configure the PWE service stack on resources identified by KISTI
- Installation will mirror the installation currently available at NCSA
- Provide training and documentation as required to allow KISTI to understand and utilize the installation
