Required Notice

The PDO requests a minimum of four (4) weeks notice before the funder deadline to provide its full services.

For large, complex proposals, additional time is required, and the PDO requests a minimum of five (5) weeks notice before the funder's deadlines.

Limited Services: Projects submitted with less than the required notice may receive limited support and services.

Understanding PDO Deadlines

The PDO follows SPA's policy in determining deadlines for proposal submissions.

Your assigned proposal coordinated will provide you with a detailed list of deadlines. Pay attention to listed deadlines from your PC, and communicate ahead of time if you cannot meet them.

Click on the graphic (right) for details on our process timeline to get a sense of what will be due and when.

Missed deadlines can result in documents being submitted without review, which may result in proposals being rejected by the funder or returned without funder review.

Declining Projects

The PDO rarely declines support for a proposal, but there are instances where refusals will occur:

  1. Projects submitted at the last minute may not be accepted, especially during time of high-volume submissions.
  2. Projects submitted by Center affiliates that fall outside our established criteria may be declined.
